Rick Cagnina | Owner | VW/Audi

Rick developed his passion for cars in high school while working on his MK2 Jetta 16V. After high school, he managed a mobile electronics shop for 6 years before attending Universal Technical Institute, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in Automotive Technology. He worked at VW and Audi dealerships over the following 4 years. From there he joined Auto Engineering in 2009, eventually buying the business in 2018. He is actively involved in ongoing shop improvements to provide the best customer experience. His passion for cars continues and he regularly attends car shows in his B7 Audi RS4, his MK4 GTI 337, and posts on VW and Audi forums.

Jim Spinelli | Owner

Jim has an entrepreneurial spirit who is one of the new co-owners of Auto Engineering. He spends many evenings and weekends at the shop helping with many of the ongoing improvements to provide the best customer experience. During his days, he is an actively practicing local physician.

Shaun Ridenour | Service Manager

Shaun has an extensive BMW dealership technician background making him a highly capable and knowledgeable service manager. He manages much of the daily shop workflow and will often be answering your phone calls, responding to your emails, and greeting you at the service counter. He has a passion for cars and you will see him in his modified E39 BMW M5 or his Project GMC Syclone.

Nelson Barros | BMW

Nelson developed an interest in cars in his later teen years while working for a valet company in Boston. He developed a passion for BMWs and later attended Universal Technical Institute for automotive technology. After graduation in 2000, he began working at a BMW dealership and stayed there for 13.5 years. At the dealership, Nelson earned his Master Level 1 Certification and was the most experienced tech at the dealership until he joined Auto Engineering in February 2014. Nelson’s main passion has always been motorsports. In his free time, he enjoys working on race cars and competing the COM Sports Car Club time trial series in his E36 M3. www.comscc.org Nelson also holds the responsibility of Chief of Tech for COMSCC. He enjoys getting new people on the track for the first time and/or getting people from other HPDE clubs to try timed competition with COMSCC.

Corey Culberson | Mercedes Benz

Corey developed his interest in cars as a young teenager and went into an automotive program in high school. He went on to attend Universal Technical Institute earning his diploma in Automotive Diesel and Industrial in 2001. He worked for a Mercedes Benz dealership over the next 15 years, earning his Master Technician Certification in 2008. He has enjoyed his transition from dealership to independent Mercedes specialist. When he is not at the shop, he enjoys spending time with his family and snowmobile trips.

Brandon Conchieri | Porsche/Audi

Brandon has been working on cars since before high school. He has had various roles including independent shop foreman early on, then becoming a dealership tech and eventually earning his Master Technician Certification. He has extensive experience in high-performance and exotic cars, specializing in Porsche and Audi. He enjoys driving his B7 Audi RS4 and you will see him at many of the local car shows.

Carolyn | Building Maintenance

Carolyn is an invaluable team member involved in everything from cleaning and maintaining the shop, higher level building improvements, outside landscaping, driving customers home as a courtesy. All of this helps to provide the best customer experience. When she is not at the shop, she enjoys being a wife and a mother to her 3 wonderful children.
